A Short Biographical History

Greg Thompson has come a long way from his humble beginnings as an architectural major at Ohio State University. In 1980, Greg was staining and etching glass from his small shop in Carmel, Indiana.
In 1987, Greg, along with two business partners, started Indiana Art Glass, Inc. – the “World’s Coolest Art Glass Company.” The business was located on Indy’s east side in a 2000 square foot rented space. A difference in artistic vision led Greg to buy out his partners in 1988, and Greg was now free to re-invent IAG into the studio that it has become today.
