Marble Institute of America

Founded in 1944, the Marble Institute of America is the leading resource for information and education for the natural stone industry. MIA members, numbering nearly 2,000 organizations worldwide, include marble, granite, limestone, sandstone, and other natural stone producers and quarriers, fabricators, installers, distributors, and contractors. The association publishes a variety of technical and consumer information, and provides educational opportunities for architects, kitchen and bath dealers, and other users of natural stone. Since 2007, the association has sponsored a fabaricator accreditation program that involves a rigorous application, test, and inspection process leading to becoming a MIA Accreditated Natural Stone Fabricator.
