Eleven years ago, Thermador changed the shape of gas cooking forever with the introduction of the Star Burner®. This dramatic re-imagining of the typical, circular gas burner allowed the most even flame and heat distribution of any cooktop or range on the market. And now, Thermador's Star rises even higher, with an elevated burner and increased output that fuels performance and allows for quick and easy clean-up.

"Thermador's elevated brass Star Burner and solid black maintop sets a new industry standard in both performance and design," said Beatriz Sandoval, brand manager for Thermador. "Thermador now offers the greatest flexibility in cooking with burners that deliver a maximum power of 18k BTU and a delicate simmer of 375 BTU. For a true cooking enthusiast, even the most challenging recipes and techniques can now be more easily mastered."

The new Star Burner will shine on Thermador's redesigned counter-depth Pro Harmony™ Ranges and Professional Series Rangetops starting in August, 2009.

Pro Harmony Range and Professional Series Rangetop

  • All Pro Harmony Ranges and Professional Rangetops can be configured with multiple Star Burners and/or a 12" electric griddle.
  • The new Star Burners feature an elevated Quick Clean Base™ to allow for effortless cleaning.
